Workshop Wednesday ~8/7/24

During the live presentation, I will be taking a sketch (pg.33) from the Creative Memories 101 Scrapbooking Ideas & Sketches Book, recreating it using different paper and tools. The original is a beautiful layout from using the Painted Garden Collection.

The Layout - This layout, which was originally posted on the CM Blog on 2/27/23 is beautiful as it is. The original uses the Painted Garden Collection. But my favorite part is the simple design concept. A block to house your photos, title and journaling!! A strip of busy Icon Paper at the bottom, topped with a border sticker or a BMC punch out (which I will be doing in my layout). It doesn’t get any easy than this! But of course, I need a double page layout, so watch to see what I do to extend this layout into a 2-page spread! Today was all about getting pages done, I kept the first side very similar to the sketch, then created the second page with strips of papers, same that were used on the left side. Three strips and then a block to mat the photos. Using white for the base of each page, plus the photo block on the right hand side ties it all together!
