Workshop Wednesday ~ 1/8/25

Join me on Facebook this Wednesday, January 8th, for Workshop Wednesday!

We’ll kick off our 2025 Keeping Scrapbooking Simple Series, and this year, we’ll be using the Creative Memories 52 Scrapbooking Project Recipe Book. I’ve selected several layouts that I consider “simple” — meaning easy paper cuts, straightforward photo placement, and just a few fun embellishments to finish it off.

This week, I’ll be working with Recipe #24 on page 52 of the book, and I’ll show you how to use the project recipe to recreate a beautiful double-page layout! Don’t miss it!

The Layout - This layout was originally created for the Outback Journey Collection, featured in the book as the Purrr-fect Kitty Cat Collection. Now, I’m recreating it with the School Dayz Collection! This shows just how versatile the design recipes are—they can be used again and again and still look completely different each time. I love this design because it’s essentially a Band Design, with a fun twist: the band is made up of three strips of paper! It’s perfect for those collections where you end up with a lot of larger scraps. Plus, this project gives you the perfect opportunity to use our favorite theme-specific tool. Check out the original recipe below and come join the fun!

My Finished Layout

School Dayz Paper Collection worked out perfectly for this Third Grade Fun Day! The fun and playful design adds to the playfulness of the photos and brings back the overall feel for the day. These memories seem like a lifetime ago, but now I feel like I am right back there having fun with the kiddos and watching them grow!
