Keeping It Simple - Halloween - Edition

As a kid I loved Halloween, as a parent I love scrapbooking about Halloween. Luckily I still have photos to scrapbook of my kiddos when they were younger, so I can use the New Collection by Creative Memories - Boo-Yah. It’s a fun, playful, not scary Halloween Collection! It has big bold prints, which I tend to sparingly, which means I will get a lot of layouts done with this collection.

Watch my Youtube series where I create 3 simple layouts using the sketches above and the Boo-Yah Collection, plus some pre-punched embellishments I created to prep for this series. Below I show each layout and the corresponding video. Enjoy!

Layout #1

I included three cluster areas on this layout, instead of two that are indicated on the sketch. Bring in elements such as the black cat and the jack-o-lantern to represent what’s in my photos. Then I focused on other elements and colors t give it the look and feel of Halloween. Super fun and simple sketch. Hope you give it a try.

Video #1

Here in layout number 2 is my favorite type of background, I like to call it a Band because there is a large open area on both sides of the layout to house my photos. I was able to get 7 descent size photos on this layout and still had room to create clusters of embellishments.

Using small amounts of the bold icon paper is easier on your eyes as you enjoy looking at these pages. Plus, it extends the life of the paper so I can use it on more layouts!

Remaining layout and video will be posted once it is uploaded to Youtube.
